The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ondo State has disclosed, ahead of the November 2024 governorship election in the State, that its greatest strength lies with the masses of Ondo State.
The NNPP stated its readiness to invoke the party’s structure in Ondo State to mobilize the entire masses of of the State who have been neglected and subjected to various hardships, to bring an end to the menace, the APC government have severely inflicted on them in the last seven years.
The Ondo State chapter of the NNPP also noted that they enjoy the full support of the party’s national leader and prominent politician in the country, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso who has shown willingness to join forces with other high profile politicians and people of Ondo State to win the coming Governorship Election for the New Nigeria People’s Party(NNPP) and bring an end to the misrule of the APC.
This was disclosed by the state party Chairman, Pastor Peter Olagookun while responding to newsmen in Akure, the State capital.
“The NNPP rely on the support of the good people of Ondo State to change the narratives. This election is very important to us and we have every chance to win and we will not miss the opportunity to take the power from the ruling APC party. This Election is going to be between the NNPP and APC as the NNPP is now the most formidable opposition party in the state that has a visible structures across the 18 local government and 203 wards in the state without factions or crisis of any sort.
“As it stands now our party is the only party in Ondo State that is giving the ruling party All Progressive Congress APC a headache and sleepless nights as the party NNPP has been widely accepted by the good people of Ondo State”.
Olagookun also added that the NNPP is the only political party that is committed to the welfare and needs of the people. He said the party is ready to replicate, in Ondo State, the numerous people-centred initiatives the people of Kano State are currently enjoying under the government of NNPP led by Governor Abba Yusuf.
“A repeat of what is happening in Kano State will repeat itself in Ondo State. In Kano State, the NNPP took over the state and started giving the people of Kano State good Governance and free Education. Today, every Nigerian is proud of the Government of NNPP in the State including, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who could not hide his feelings during one of the National Executive Council meeting to set Kano State as a good example for other states to emulate.
“We are reassuring the good people of Ondo State that the NNPP which is their party, our party is ready to save the state from the many years of misrule as we are coming to takeover come 2025. The time is now.”
