As Muslims across Ondo State and Nigeria celebrate Eid-El-Fitri, Hon. Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi, the Majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, extends his warmest greetings and best wishes to the Muslim community. This auspicious occasion marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection.
In his message, Hon. Ogunmolasuyi emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and harmony among all Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences. He urged Muslims to continue to uphold the values of Ramadan, including love, compassion, and generosity, beyond the holy month.
“The celebration of Eid-El-Fitri is not just a time for merriment but also a time for deep reflection on the teachings of Islam. As we mark the end of Ramadan, let us carry forward the spirit of unity, peace, and empathy that this holy month has instilled in us,” Hon. Ogunmolasuyi stated.
He also called on all Nigerians to pray for the country, especially during these challenging times. “Let us use this occasion to pray fervently for our nation. May the Almighty Allah grant us peace, prosperity, and security. Let us all strive to be instruments of peace and progress in our communities,” he added.
The Majority Leader reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Ondo State diligently and called on residents to continue to support the government in its efforts to build a peaceful and prosperous state. Hon. Ogunmolasuyi concluded by wishing all Muslims a joyous Eid-El-Fitri celebration filled with blessings, happiness, and spiritual fulfilment.
