A group dedicated to the mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Asiwaju Grassroots Movement (AGM) has inaugurated executive members for the group in Akoko North West local government area of Ondo state on Saturday.
The inauguration ceremony was held at SHEKONI HALL in Okeagbe Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko North West local government area and was described as a step to intensify grassroots mobilisation for future APC elections in Ondo state and the nation at large.
The group inaugurated 13 local government executives and 10 executive members in each ward ably led by Otunba Kali Afe.
The Director General of the group in Ondo state, Evangelist Olumuyiwa Asagunla said: “the major aim of the group is to reawaken the political consciousness of every citizen and also mobilize the grassroots to support Apc at all level.
Asagunla noted that the target of the group is to ensure that Nigerians are updated promptly and consistently about the activities and success recorded so far by the Renewed Hope government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to him, the group will be spreading its root across the 36 states of the country with the support of the Convener and National leader of the group Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo,Hon.Minister of Interior.
He said, “So far, our leader and President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has started so well with his Renewed Hope Agenda. His conscious effort to bring the economy back to life is evident in the recent strengthening of the Naira.
“We Should understand that Rome wasn’t built in a day but President Tinubu has started well. Our national leader, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo who is the Minister of Interior has brought new innovations to the ministry of Interior in Nigeria and in Diaspora. Nigerians can now obtain passports anywhere in the world without the usual restraints observed in the past.
The newly inaugurated coordinator of the group in the local government area, Otunba Kali Afe described Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s performance so far as “incredible”.
He commended Tinubu for his brave decisions to ensure Nigerians are rescued from the strong grip of corruption. He said “the group will continue to give our President the necessary support at the grassroot to ensure he continues his drive to renew the hope of Nigerians.”
Also present at the inauguration were party leaders from the local government include Erelu Ajonibode, Otunba Oriki,Hon.Segun Akeju, Hon.Bawa,Hon Esan Owolabi, Hon.Ojo Akeju among others, representatives of Itesiwaju Akoko, National youth council, Akoko northwest Youth leaders Afayemi were also present.
