The coordinator of Akoko Political Movement (APM) Hon Ayodele Odudu Manifold has hailed the decision of Senator Jimoh Ibrahim to withdraw the suit challenging the victory of the incumbent governor of Ondo state His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa at the April 20 Primary election of the All Progressive Congress(APC).
Hon. Manifold refer to the decision of the senator as win-win situation for the APC in Ondo state.
Remember that Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim has approached the court in the wake of the primary election, challenging the outcome of the election claiming that no election was held on that day across the state. He had threatened to see the case to a logical conclusion and even threatened that he wanted the party to conduct another fresh primary election.
However in a swift turn of events, senator Jimoh Ibrahim has decided to withdraw the suit pacing way for his Excellency Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to contest as the candidate of the APC in the November election.
Hon. Manifold called the decision of the Araba of Ikale land as the best thing to happen to the APC in Ondo state at this time as it will now afford the candidate and the party to shift attention from the litigation to proper campaign for the November election.
He affirmed that Sen. Jimoh Ibrahim will be the hero when the APC is affirmed by Ondo state people on November 16.
He also called on the Governor to extend the olive branch to all the aggrieved members of the party in Ondo state, especially the other aspirants as their contributions is essential to party winning the election come November.
He congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for this historic event pray for him to have the good health and wisdom to pilot the affairs of Ondo state till 2028.
