In a remarkable event that drew together the nation’s elite, Deputy Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) retired from service in Abuja. The ceremony was an ode to a distinguished career marked by dedication, industriousness, and an unwavering commitment to road safety in Nigeria.
The event, which took place at the prestigious International Conference Centre, was graced by a host of prominent personalities. The Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, led the tributes, praising Kazeem’s exceptional leadership in the FRSC. His remarks were echoed by other notable figures, including the Managing Director of Matrix Oil and Gas Company, Alhaji Abdulkabir Adisa Aliu; Alhaji Kofo Alada, a respected Director at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN); Alhaji Kunle Salam-Alada, Managing Director KSA&B Energy Ltd, Alhaji Fatai Dankazeem, Ace Presenter and a multitude of royal fathers, military generals, and captains who turned out in their numbers to honor the occasion.
In his farewell address, Bisi Kazeem expressed deep gratitude to his colleagues, friends, and family, reflecting on his journey and the strides made in promoting road safety across Nigeria. “This journey has been one of service, commitment, and the relentless pursuit of a safer Nigeria. I am deeply humbled by the outpouring of support and the recognition of our collective efforts,” he stated.
Of the numerous groups that came to honor Kazeem was the Omoye Club Youth Wing, Ikare Youth Forum among other prominent youth organizations from his hometown, Ikare Akoko. The Youth bodies highlighted Kazeem’s impact not just on the national stage but also within his community. They took the opportunity to induct Bisi Kazeem into the HALL OF FAME OF Ọ́MỌ́ UKARẸ́ ATATA, a position that appreciates and acknowledges individual efforts in human capacity building and development of Ikare as a whole.
The event was not just a celebration of Kazeem’s achievements but also a reflection of Ikare Akoko’s enduring legacy and its contributions to the nation. The presence of the Youth bodies underscored the importance of community, heritage, and the role of young leaders in shaping the future.
