The Akoko North West Youth Forum, representing the collective interests of youths in the Akoko North West region, is compelled to express its deepest concern and outrage over the recurring incidents of brutal killings and violence along the Arigidi/Okeagbe road. This disturbing trend has resulted in the tragic loss of numerous innocent lives, and a pervasive sense of insecurity among the populace.
We are dismayed by the apparent lack of effective measures to address this escalating security situation, despite repeated pleas to the relevant authorities. The forum demands immediate and decisive intervention from the Ondo State Government to stem the tide of violence and restore peace to the affected communities.
The Akoko North West Youth Forum urges the state government to increase security presence and patrols along the Arigidi/Okeagbe road, conduct thorough investigations into the killings, and bring the perpetrators to justice. Furthermore, we call for the provision of support and compensation to affected families and communities, as a gesture of goodwill and commitment to their welfare.
The forum is willing to collaborate with stakeholders, including traditional leaders, community groups, and security agencies, to find lasting solutions to the crisis. We believe that a multi-faceted approach, involving all relevant parties, is essential to addressing the root causes of the violence and ensuring sustainable peace in the region.
We appeal to the state government to treat this matter with the urgency and also gives it the seriousness it deserves, given the devastating impact on the lives and livelihoods of our people. The Akoko North West Youth Forum is committed to working tirelessly to promote peace, security, and development in our region.
We also urge the people to be at alert and ensure proper communication is made in case of any strange danger perceived.
The Akoko North West Youth Forum will continue to monitor the situation closely and engage with the state government to ensure that concrete steps are taken to address the crisis. We will also provide support and solidarity to affected communities, as they navigate this difficult period.
