Kingdom Heart Foundation aimed at providing better life for young individuals have announced offer of Otega Secondary School located in Ibafo, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The scholarships given to the students cover their educational studies until the end of their secondary school, including their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations in WAEC and NECO, as well as tertiary institution entrance exam also referred to as JAMB.
The support to the students came following a debate competition among secondary schools.
Recently given the scholarships to the students, founder of Kingdom Heart Foundation, Dr. Oluwadamilola Desmond-Awoyo, also presented a cheque of N100,000 to the students as part of support to aid their academics activities.
The Kingdom Heart Foundation since its inception in 2017, has been providing support, moral and value to humanity through provision of food commodities, educational aid, financial support to both young and old.
“Students who participated, we gave them scholarship from SSS two till they finished secondary school. We also pay for their WAEC, JAMB, NECO, and all necessary exam they’re going to write and see them through to the university level,” Dr. Oluwadamilola said.
Speaking on his reason for the establishment, Damilola noted that his zeal to cheer up Nigerians and how they can fulfil their purposes means a lot to him.
“I started this to encourage young individuals, especially teenagers, about lives, how they can be better in life and how they can fulfil purpose against all odds. Also, I got the revelations about mindset and how it can influence one’s behaviour.
So, I took it upon myself to talk to young individuals about building a positive mindset regardless of their background, which should not have to do with putting their back on the ground. I always believe they can do more than what they can think or imagine,” he said.
He noted that the foundation is evolving around that and creating awareness to students about building positive minds, thereby becoming a better person in the society.
Dr. Oluwadamilola disclosed his passion for not just providing support but also raising younger generation.
He added that several individuals including the aged have benefited from the foundation across different parts of the countries including Kwara, Kogi, Ogun, Lagos, Osun, Ondo, and many other parts.
“I have been for the past seven years and more than 25 students, including primary schools, are currently under my scholarship. I see that as one of the ways I can help the society also. And also I look at the vulnerable people in the society and the less privileged.
We do not only focus on the younger one. We also support the aged and widows with money and also enrol their children with educational provisions,” he added.
