In a bid to advance the educational system in Akoko North West, Honorable Bola Salami, Educational Secretary of Akoko North West Local Government, has commenced a familiarization tour across the region. The tour, which kicked off in Zone A, aims to inspect the current state of primary schools and identify challenges hindering their progress.
Accompanied by his entourage, Hon. Salami visited several primary schools in Zone A, including:
1. AUD Primary School, Oyin Akoko
2. St. James Primary School, Oyin Akoko
3. Baptist Day School, Oyin Akoko
4. LA Primary School, Okeagbe Akoko
5. St. Theresa RCM Primary School, Okeagbe
6. St. George’s Anglican Primary School, Okeagbe
7. Ansarul Islam Pry. Afin Akoko
8. Ansaruddeen pry. Afin Akoko
9. Community primary school Afin Akoko
10. Ansaruddeen mega school Okeagbe
11. Moses Orimolade pry Okeagbe Akoko
12. St. Matthew Pry. Okeagbe Akoko
During the tour, the team assessed the infrastructure, teaching facilities, and overall learning environment of each school. They also engaged with teachers, pupils, and community leaders to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing the schools.
Hon. Salami emphasized the importance of this familiarization tour, stating, “As Educational Secretary, it is my duty to ensure that our primary schools receive the necessary support to provide quality education to our children. This tour will enable us to identify areas of need and develop strategies to address them.”
The familiarization tour is expected to continue across other zones in Akoko North West, with the ultimate goal of improving the educational system and empowering future generations.
