The newly inaugurated Youth Senator, representing Ondo South in the Nigerian Youth Parliament, Hon. Morayo Itiolu, on Thursday paid a visit to the Honourable Minister for Youth Affairs, Comrade Ayodele Olawande at the latter’s office in Abuja. While addressing newsmen after the meeting, Itiolu said the meeting was productive and spells better days ahead for Nigerian Youths in her constituency and the entire nation.
“I had the honor of visiting the Honorable Minister of Youth, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, at the Ministry’s office. The primary objective of this visit was to establish a rapport with the Honorable Minister and discuss matters of mutual interest, particularly those affecting the youth. This meeting also provided an opportunity to learn more about the Ministry’s initiatives and programs targeting young people.” she said
“During our meeting, we discussed some of the challenges facing young people, such as unemployment, poverty, and lack of access to quality education and healthcare.”
“The meeting was productive, and the Honorable Minister expressed willingness to collaborate with the Youth Parliament on various initiatives. We agreed to foster a working relationship between the Ministry and our office to promote youth development and empowerment for the young people of our constituency, Ondo South. We also Identify areas of collaboration, such as joint projects, programs, and initiatives that benefit young people.”
While thanking the Minister for the opportunity, the Ikoya born public health specialist said “The courtesy visit to the Honorable Minister of Youth was a huge success, and I am grateful for the opportunity to engage with the Minister. I look forward to building on this relationship and exploring ways to work together to promote the welfare and development of young people of Ondo South.
