The Ondo State APC Youth Leader, Comrade Adeyemo Olalekan, has applauded the state governor, His Excellency Hon. Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, over the recent recruitment of over 2,000 youths into teaching positions across the state.
In a statement he signed, Comrade Adeyemo expressed gratitude to the governor for prioritising employment opportunities for young people.
He also extended appreciation to party leaders, including the APC State Chairman, Engr Ade Adetimehin, Honourable Ministers, distinguished Senators, Members of the House of Representatives, Members of the State House of Assembly, and other federal and state government appointees for their continued support for the youth wing of the party in areas of appointment, employment, and empowerment.
While acknowledging these strides, the APC youth leader called for even greater efforts to expand opportunities for young people.
He emphasised the need for a “massive industrial revolution and wealth creation” to tackle the high unemployment rate among youths in the state.
Comrade Adeyemo also urged Governor Aiyedatiwa to initiate reforms in the state’s civil service, aligning with the Federal Civil Service Commission’s template.
He argued that such reforms would help curtail excessive recurrent expenditures, which he believes are hampering the state’s socio-economic development.
The statement underscores the youth wing’s commitment to advocating for policies that promote employment, economic growth, and efficient governance in Ondo State.
