The political atmosphere in Oyin Akoko was filled with excitement as the Y.K Support Group for Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), led by its Convener, Engnr. Yusuf Obafemi K. (YK), reaffirmed its loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) by declaring total support for all its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections. The endorsement was received with jubilation, as party faithful and community members gathered in large numbers to show solidarity.
The event was graced by notable personalities including Hon. Bolaji Fatai Atere, Member, Ondo State House of Assembly representing Akoko North West Constituency I; Comr. Akinyele Lemuel, Special Assistant on Special Duties to Hon. Ifeoluwa Ehindero; and Comr. Ademoye Kayode, President-Elect of Akoko North West Youth Forum, among others.
In his opening remarks, Comr. Akinyele Lemuel highlighted the aims and objectives of the group and, on behalf of Hon. Ifeoluwa Ehindero, pleaded for continued support towards the re-election of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. In his address, Hon. Atere expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Oyin Akoko, urging them to keep praying for Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, while also extending kind gestures to residents, including a cash gift to a young student to support his academic pursuit, alongside other cash donations.
Participants lauded the Convener of the group, offering prayers and commendations for his steadfast leadership. In his closing remarks and vote of thanks, Engnr. Yusuf Obafemi K. (YK) appreciated Hon. Atere for honoring the invitation despite his tight schedule, while also acknowledging the unwavering support of the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and Hon. Ifeoluwa Ehindero. He further used the occasion to congratulate Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo on his remarkable two years of selfless service to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, commending his visionary leadership, transformative reforms, and people-centered policies which continue to restore confidence in governance. Engnr. Yusuf Obafemi K. (YK) assured the people that the political leaders being endorsed will remain committed and never disappoint the trust reposed in them.
