The National Congress of Akoko Students (NACAS) National Body has successfully organized a Student Relief Outreach at Margaret Mosunmola College of Health, providing food items and essential materials to scores of students.
The outreach, held in Owo, Ondo State, was organized in honour of the Minister of Interior and Grand Patron of NACAS, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo. According to the student body, the initiative was aimed at easing the economic burden faced by students amid prevailing financial challenges.
Between 70 and 80 students benefited from the distribution, which NACAS described as transparent and inclusive. Beneficiaries were selected through what the organizers called a fair and structured process to ensure support reached those most in need.
Speaking on the significance of the outreach, the leadership of NACAS said the programme reflects its continued commitment to student welfare, unity, and sustainable support systems for Akoko students across tertiary institutions. The atmosphere at the event was marked by appreciation and renewed hope, as beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the timely intervention.
The association commended Tunji-Ojo for his dedication to youth development, education, and national service, noting that his leadership continues to inspire students to pursue excellence and meaningful contributions to society.
NACAS also appreciated its Patron, Ifeoluwa Ehindero, for his consistent advisory and moral support, which it said has strengthened the association’s structure and momentum.
Special recognition was given to the Founder of Margaret Mosunmola College of Health for providing a conducive environment and demonstrating strong commitment to student welfare. The college’s support, NACAS stated, played a significant role in the success of the programme.
The association further acknowledged stakeholders, institutional representatives, student leaders, donors, and volunteers who contributed financially and materially to ensure the success of the outreach.
Describing the initiative as a foundation for more impactful programmes, NACAS reaffirmed its resolve to expand welfare-driven and academically supportive projects for students across Akoko and beyond.
