The recent spate of violence within our beloved constituency has left us heartbroken and deeply concerned. The brutal killings of innocent citizens, most recently another tragic death along the Arigidi-Okeagbe road, is a deplorable act that we must all come together to address.
Hon. Ifeoluwa Ehindero, Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, and Member representing Akoko Northeast and Northwest Federal Constituency, strongly condemns these senseless acts of violence and expresses deep sympathy to the families affected. He asserts that immediate action must be taken to address the rising insecurity within our constituency.
Hon. Ehindero in collaboration with the Ondo State Government, Nigeria police, the Amotekun Corps, and local law enforcement agencies to urgently collaborate on a comprehensive response to restore peace and security. “Our people deserve to live in peace without fear of violence,” he said. “The perpetrators of these heinous crimes must be brought to justice swiftly.” Said Hon. Ifeoluwa
He further charges all security agencies to intensify their efforts, urging them to collaborate more effectively with local communities for the swift dissemination of critical information. This collaborative approach will be key in preventing further attacks and ensuring a prompt response to any future threats.
In addition, Hon. Ehindero urges traditional rulers, political leaders, community stakeholders, and the youths of Akoko North Federal Constituency to work closely together in combating these issues. The collective effort of all segments of society is crucial in preventing further violence and securing the safety of our communities.
The Akoko Youth Forum, as well as other youth groups, are encouraged to remain vigilant and engaged in supporting efforts to maintain peace across our land.
Hon. Ehindero remains committed to ensuring that every necessary measure is taken to protect the lives and property of the people of Akoko Northeast/Northwest Federal Constituency, and he assures all constituents that his office will continue to advocate for security reforms at all levels of government.
