Hon. Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi, Majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, exercised his civic duty today by casting his vote in the Local Government Election. Speaking after voting in Owo, Hon. Ogunmolasuyi praised the proactive leadership of the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for his unwavering commitment to fostering a peaceful, free, and fair electoral process.
Hon. Ogunmolasuyi expressed satisfaction with the seamless voting process, describing it as stress-free and commendable. He attributed the smooth conduct of the election to the comprehensive security measures across the state. “The provision of adequate security ensured a peaceful atmosphere that allowed voters to express their democratic rights without fear or intimidation freely,” he noted.
He further lauded the Independent Electoral Commission of Ondo State for organizing a well-structured and transparent electoral exercise that reflects the people’s collective will.
In his remarks, Hon. Ogunmolasuyi called on all political stakeholders to maintain peace and mutual respect as the election process concludes. He emphasized that democracy thrives best when the sanctity of the ballot box is respected, urging both winners and participants to prioritize unity and development for the greater good of their communities.
“The success of today’s election demonstrates the strength of our democratic institutions and the maturity of our political culture in Ondo State. I commend the people of Ondo State for their enthusiasm and peaceful conduct throughout the process,” he added. Hon. Ogunmolasuyi reaffirmed his commitment to working collaboratively with local government leaders to enhance development and good governance in the state.
