An Open Letter to the Governor of Ondo State,

It is with a heavy heart that we write this open letter to bring to your attention the injustice that has become apparent in the recent selection process for the Ondo State Youths Parliament. Despite your legacy of fairness and equitable recognition, we are shocked to see a list circulating in the media space of nominated persons for inauguration, which contradicts the principles of justice and fairness.
Some of us, driven by the desire to develop our respective constituencies, applied to represent the youths in the 3rd assembly. We followed the necessary processes and consultations, only to be dismayed by the outcome. The list of nominated persons appears to have been selected through a dubious process that was not legally and properly constituted.
As youths who believe in your leadership style and values, we are compelled to speak out against this injustice. We have faith in your commitment to fairness and justice, and we hope that you will take immediate action to address this issue.
The selection process for the Ondo State Youths Parliament should be transparent, fair, and free from bias. Unfortunately, the current process has fallen short of these expectations. We urge you to take a closer look at the matter and ensure that justice is served.
In light of the above, we put forward the following demands: Firstly, the dubious selection process, which was not legally and properly constituted, should be disregarded. This will create an opportunity for a fresh start and ensure that the process is fair and transparent.
Secondly, a new process of nominating representatives should be considered. This process should be guided by the principles of fairness, transparency, and merit. We believe that this will help to restore confidence in the system and ensure that the best candidates are selected to represent the youths of Ondo State.
Thirdly, those responsible for this act, void of probity, should tender an apology. Their actions have brought discredit to the process and undermined the trust of the youths in the state. An apology would be a step in the right direction towards healing and rebuilding trust.
We hope that you will not only address this injustice but also demonstrate your commitment to fairness and justice. By doing so, you will prove to the youths of Ondo State that you are a governor and a father who listens when the children cry out for help.
