We strongly reject the baseless accusations made by Hon. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, who claimed that Hon. Ogunbolude Johnson threatened APC members over their support for the Grassroot Movement for Tinubu (GMT) and sought the removal of the Acting APC LG Chairman, Mr. Ataniyi.
These allegations are false, malicious, and aimed at tarnishing the image of a leader committed to unity, progress, and internal democracy within the APC. Hon. Ogunbolude Johnson has consistently supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC, with no actions contrary to the party’s interest.
It is unfortunate that Hon. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, once respected, has resorted to divisive rhetoric in a bid to remain politically relevant. We challenge him to provide credible evidence and to identify any fake signatures in the document reinstating the duly elected party chairman.
Contrary to the allegations, Hon. Ogunbolude Johnson has fostered peace, resolved internal disputes—such as the reconciliation between Hon. Eleti and Mr. Ataniyi—and promoted inclusive leadership.
We advise Hon. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye to stop spreading misinformation and instead collaborate with the leadership of Akure North to further the unity and success of our great party, the APC.
