On this remarkable occasion marking the second anniversary of Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo’s exceptional stewardship as Minister, I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating a man whose visionary leadership has redefined governance and public service.
In just two years, Dr. Tunji-Ojo has set an enviable standard of intentional and result-driven leadership. From promoting over 100,000 paramilitary personnel and facilitating the employment of additional 30,000 more, to championing gender inclusivity with over 35% female recruitment, his policies have brought dignity, fairness, and equity to our national institutions.
His bold reforms in correctional services — including the release of 4,000 inmates and establishment of robust skills acquisition programs — reflect not only administrative competence but also deep human compassion. His work in clearing a backlog of over 200,000 passports within a month introducing e-passport facilities, and modernizing immigration with e-visa, contactless biometrics, automated systems, and an 8.3 petabyte Tier 4 Data Centre has elevated Nigeria’s global standing in border management and security.
Equally transformative is his commitment to institutional development, seen in the remodeling of the Fire Service Academy and establishment of a world-class Paramilitary Academy — legacies that will outlive his tenure.
Above all, Dr. Tunji-Ojo has remained a strong ambassador of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, embodying its principles with distinction and passion. His two years of intentional, people-centered service have brought renewed trust in government and inspired confidence in Nigeria’s future.
Above all, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has remained the best ambassador of the “Renewed Hope” agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
