I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on his decisive victory at the Supreme Court, which finally resolves all legal challenges to his mandate as the legitimately elected Governor of our beloved state.
The Supreme Court’s decision to dismiss the appeal filed by Hon. Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), along with similar petitions from other political parties, is a victory not only for the Governor but also for democracy, the rule of law, and the good people of Ondo State, who freely gave their mandate during the November 16, 2024, governorship election.
This landmark ruling is both historic and important. It confirms that the will of the people cannot be undermined, and it enhances citizens’ trust in our judicial system as the ultimate source of justice.
Now, I call on Hon. Agboola Ajayi and other opposition leaders to put aside their differences and work with the Governor to build a stronger Ondo State. While elections are behind us, governing and development are our shared duties. As leaders, we need to look beyond party lines and put our people’s interests first.
Governor Aiyedatiwa has consistently shown dedication to inclusive governance, people-focused policies, and progress in all sectors. This victory provides a fresh chance for all stakeholders to collaborate in strengthening peace, security, infrastructure development, and sustainable growth in Ondo State.
On behalf of myself and the people of Owo Constituency 1, I once again congratulate His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his deputy Dr Chief Olayide Adelami (MNI) , on this well-earned victory. May this renewed mandate lead Ondo State to even greater achievements.
