Team Danya Pad A Girl Initiative on Tuesday visited Eyo Oke Comprehensive High School in a move aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene awareness and sex education among female students in Akoko North Federal Constituency.
The outreach programme was held in honour and support of the people-oriented leadership of Ifeoluwa Ehindero and focused on educating students about menstrual health, proper hygiene practices and the importance of sex education.
The event was attended by the school’s Principal, Mrs. Adedun M.K., Heads of Departments, teachers and students, who warmly received members of the initiative during the impactful engagement session.
Speaking during the programme, the school principal commended Hon. Ehindero for his continuous commitment to youth development, education and community-based interventions across Akoko North Federal Constituency. She also offered prayers for the lawmaker, describing his efforts as commendable and beneficial to young people in the constituency.
As part of the initiative, sanitary pads were distributed to students to support the girl child, boost confidence and encourage proper menstrual hygiene among young women.
The organisers also expressed appreciation to members of Team Danya and other supporters who contributed their time, effort and resources towards the success of the programme, noting that their dedication continues to positively impact lives within the community.
The initiative reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young girls through education, awareness and support programmes aimed at improving their wellbeing and self-esteem.
