The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has continued the distribution of rice, cows and over 500 rams to Muslim faithful across Ondo State as part of activities marking the 2026 Eid al-Adha celebration, popularly known as Ileya.
The distribution exercise, coordinated by Ekunnusi Musibau, began on Saturday, May 23, and concluded on Monday, May 25, 2026. The outreach covered several communities and Islamic leaders across the state, with hundreds of beneficiaries receiving food items and Sallah gifts to celebrate the festive season.
The initiative was aimed at supporting Muslim families during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration and easing the burden on residents amid the current economic situation in the country.
Beneficiaries, party supporters and community leaders commended Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo for the humanitarian gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.
