The Ogotun Oge Youth Development Forum (OOYDF) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of respected cleric, Pastor Gabriel Agbaje, describing his death as a great loss to the Ogotun Oge community and the Christ Apostolic Church World Wide.
In a condolence message, the forum praised the late pastor for his exemplary life of faith, humility, and dedicated service to God and humanity, noting that his contributions to the spiritual and social development of the community would be remembered for generations.
The forum also called on all Ogotun Oge youths to participate actively and peacefully in the burial activities organised in honour of the late cleric.
According to the official programme lineup by the family, the activities will commence on Monday, 27th July 2026, with the digging of the grave at the late pastor’s residence in Ogotun Oge.
On Thursday, 30th. July, the remains of Pastor Agbaje will arrive from the mortuary at 11:00 a.m., followed by a wake-keeping service at the Christ Apostolic Church Zonal Headquarters, Ogotun Oge, Okeagbe, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Ogotun Oge Youth were encouraged to make themselves available during the funeral ceremony.
An Asun Night will also be held at his residence after the wake-keeping service.
The burial ceremony will conclude on Friday, 31st. July, with the laying to rest at his residence by 8:00 a.m., followed by a thanksgiving service at the Christ Apostolic Church Zonal Headquarters, Ogotun Oge, at 10:00 a.m.
A final burial reception will take place at Owage Palace, Oge Okeagbe, immediately after the Thanksgiving service.
The forum urged all members at home and in neighbouring communities to turn out in large numbers to pay their last respects to a man they described as a devoted servant of God and a father figure to many.
The late Pastor Gabriel Agbaje is widely remembered for his commitment to Christian service and his positive influence in Ogotun Oge community.
