A group within the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, APC Concerned Youths has commended the Executive Director, Projects of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Charles Ogunmola, for making effort to put an end to the 15 years blackout in Ondo South Senatorial district.
In a statement signed by the coordinator of the group, Ambassador Aminu Oluwaseyi, the group noted that the commission has done well by making the restoration of electricity to the region a priority
According to Aminu, “The people of Ondo south Senatorial district have been in darkness for a long period of time and it is only commendable that the NDDC has found it important to put an end to such excruciating situation.
“We are proud of Mr. Charles Ogunmola for leading this project. He has shown himself as a lover of the masses and a listening leader. Therefore, we appreciate him for such a huge effort to relieve our people of the burden the lack of electricity has caused them for the past 15 years.”
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), on Tuesday, set a 90-day completion target for its 132/33kv sub-station in Okitipupa, Ondo State.
During an inspection visit to the project site at Okitipupa, the NDDC Executive Director, Projects, Mr. Charles noted that the contractor must work towards meeting the completion target since the project has hit 95 percentage execution.
Mr. Ogunmola stated that the NDDC is committed to providing electricity to oil-producing communities in Ondo South Senatorial District that have been without electricity for the past 15 years, adding that the speedy completion of the sub-station in Okitipupa will help achieve that goal and move the people from the 20th century to the 21st.
