Governor,
Ondo State
Mr Governor Sir,
Re: A PASSIONATE APPEAL TO CAUTION HON. KOLA BABATUNDE IN AKOKO SOUTH EAST AND A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE IN HIS POLITICAL CAPACITY
Sequel to our earlier missive on the above, I wish to solicit your quick and timely intervention to the purported suspension of the Party Chairman in Akoko South East LGA, Hon Ajayi Johnson, as orchestrated by one Hon Kola Babatunde. It must also be stated and revealed to you, that Kola Babatunde is the kingpin of anti-Party in our Local Government, because he collected N10 million naira from Hon. Ade Adeogun, collected money from Adeyeri Stephen Kunle (ASK), collected money from Chief Alex Ajipe all in the guise to see you and talk to you on their behalf. He littered our LGA with uncompleted projects during his tenure in the National Assembly. He is a spent political force in Akoko South East LGA.
Your Excellency Sir, under the Chairmanship of Hon. Ajayi Johnson, the Party recorded landslide victory, which is unprecedented in recent years. We have utmost respect and confidence in his leadership and will not want the so called, self acclaimed leader of the LGA, Hon Kola Babatunde to disturb the relative peace in our Local Government.
Mr. Governor Sir, I wish to state categorically and equivocally, that Kola Babatunde is not the de facto leader in our LGA. We have leaders before now, who knew about how we sent him to the National Assembly in 2015. What did he achieve for the LGA? Absolutely nothing!. He cannot pin-point to a singular project he executed and completed in the LGA. Only to be parading himself at the State level as the “beautiful bride” of the Local Government. His political status today in the LGA could be likened to the Yorubà adage, “Éni tii wón nwo ni àwosunkun, to nwo àrà ré ni àwo rérin”. We have NO CONFIDENCE in him.
We equally wish to appeal to our State Chairman, Engr Ade Adetimehin, to speak up if he was the one that gave Kola Babatunde the audacity and authority to suspend our Party Chairman without prior Disciplinary actions and query. Else, we will be left with no other options, than to seek redress in the Court of Law.
Sir, as law abiding citizens and members, who have respect for you and your leadership, kindly as a matter of urgency, reprimand this self acclaimed leader, Kola Babatunde to rescind his illegal suspension for peace to reign in our LGA. We never knew we were breeding a political monster, when we rallied round him in 2015.
It has always been his stock in trade to cause disunity and disharmony in the scheme of things in the LGA. He is someone, who will single-handedly compile list of Ward EXCOs in the LGA, even in Wards that are none of his business and submit same to the State without due consultation with other stakeholders. When we are not in a Banana Republic!!!
We are tired of accommodating Kola Babatunde’s excesses. Enough is enough!!!
Mr. Governor, Kola Babatunde is not your only political appointee from our Local Government and I don’t think anybody has ever complained about others, because the others always carry everybody along, except this inconsiderate, meddlesome political terrorist, Kola Babatunde.
Mr. Governor Sir, we are passionately appeal to you to use your good office to call this man to order.
We are solidly in support of your leadership status in the affairs of the Party in Ondo State.
God bless you, Mr. Governor.
Yours faithfully,
COALITION OF CONCERNED LEADERS IN AKOKO SOUTH EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ONDO STATE.
