The leadership of National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS) has announced its planned transition activities as the students prepare to elect new leaders.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Global President of the body, Mary Ogunga, and made available to the press in Akure on Thursday.
In the statement, Ali Irewole was announced as the Chairman of the transition committee alongside three (3) other members.
The statement fully read:
END OF TENURE ACTIVITIES AND APPOINTMENT OF TRANSITION COMMITTEE MEMBERS.
Greetings. Sequel to the lifting of Ban for Campaign activities for NAOSS NATIONAL ELECTION by the President of the Association at the 2023 NAOSS LEGISLATIVE SUMMIT held at SITA ALAGBAKA, it is pertinent to note that this means we are close to the end of this current administration.
Therefore, is becomes imperative to put best foot forward, to ensure due process, order and to aid effective transition of leadership.
Hence, the need for the appointment of the Transition Committee Members. The role of the transition committee is to coordinate and ensure effective end of tenure activities.
Appointed immediately into this committee are:
1. Ali Irewole ( Chairman)
2. Ijiyemi Elizabeth (South Rep)
3. Olakunle Ibikunle(North Rep)
4. Akinro Racheal Olubunmi (Central Rep)

Ban lifted for Campaign Activities – 15th July, 2023.
Sales of Nomination Form Begins- 23rd July, 2023.
Sales of nomination form ends/deadline for submission of form- 18th August, 2023.
Screening of All Aspirants- 25th of August, 2023.
Election- 26 August, 2023.
Inauguration of new Executives- 27 of August, 2023.
