A chieftain of the People’s Democratic party PDP in Ondo state and legal practitioner, Hon. Balarabe Abiodun Akinwumi, today 22nd of December, 2023 has doled out Christmas gifts to hundreds of market women across Akure major Markets in Ondo State.
The program which witnessed large turnout of beneficiaries cuts across Akure major markets like Oja-oba, Arakale, Nepa, Odokoyi and Isolo markets has greeted with so much appreciation and supplications for the philanthropic leader who deemed it fit to alleviate the hardships been faced by the people in this trying time.
The market women leadership in each markets took turns to eulogise the unprecedented gesture of Hon. Bala for deeming it mercifully to put smiles on their faces in this yuletide period despite of the meagre resources available at this present time and pray for God to continue to increase him on all fronts.
In his remarks, Hon. Bala Akinwumi saluted the hardworking spirit of the women and urged them to be steadfast and continue to pray for a better society. he said, ‘I am very unhappy anytime I see the suffering of our people especially women in the society and always trying my best to put smiles on people’s faces anytime the opportunity presents itself’.
The women who couldn’t hide their joy sang happily and continue to shower encomium and prayers on the philanthropist .
