A renowned gender advocate, humanitarian, and social development enthusiast, Precious Olofinyokun, has celebrated the birthday of the Minister of Interior, Hon.(Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo with a major charity outreach to orphanage homes in Akure, Ondo State.
According to a statement released by her media team, the outreach is part of efforts to extend love, care and support to vulnerable children while also honouring the impactful leadership and humanitarian values exemplified by Tunji-Ojo over the years.
The statement described Olofinyokun as a passionate advocate for women, children and social inclusion whose interventions continue to inspire hope among underserved communities. It noted that the outreach will involve the distribution of food items, educational materials, clothing, toiletries and other essential supplies worth millions of naira to selected orphanage homes across Akure.
Speaking ahead of the outreach, Olofinyokun said the initiative was designed not only to celebrate a leader she described as “people-oriented and compassionate,” but also to remind society of the collective responsibility to care for vulnerable children and support humanitarian causes.
She commended Tunji-Ojo for his commitment to youth empowerment, inclusive governance and people-centered leadership, noting that his achievements in public service continue to motivate many young Nigerians, especially women and advocates working for social change.
“Celebrating leaders should go beyond words and ceremonies. It should be an opportunity to impact lives positively and bring smiles to those who need support the most. This outreach reflects the spirit of compassion, service and humanity that Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo represents,” she stated.
