The Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu (OYAT) on Thursday intensified its grassroots mobilization campaign for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election with massive engagements across the Akoko South axis of Ondo State.
The campaign train, led by the Director General of OYAT, Comrade Thalis Apalowo, first berthed in Isua-Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko South East Local Government Area, where members of the group received a heroic welcome from enthusiastic youths, community stakeholders and supporters of President Tinubu.
The atmosphere in Isua-Akoko was electrifying as residents trooped out in large numbers to identify with the movement, demonstrating growing confidence in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The huge turnout reflected the increasing acceptance of the President’s policies and the expanding influence of OYAT across the grassroots.
Speaking during the engagement, Comrade Apalowo appreciated the people of Akoko South East for their warm reception and unwavering support for President Tinubu, stressing that the administration has continued to place young people at the center of governance through empowerment initiatives, student loan interventions, infrastructure renewal and youth-inclusive appointments.
He noted that President Tinubu remains committed to building a prosperous Nigeria where young people can thrive, adding that OYAT would continue moving from community to community to sensitize the people on the achievements and future plans of the administration.
According to him, “The support and enthusiasm we witnessed in Isua-Akoko today clearly shows that the people appreciate the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Nigerians are beginning to see the foundation being laid for long-term national prosperity, economic growth and youth development.”
The event in Isua-Akoko was attended by prominent youth leaders including the President of the Akoko Youth Forum, Comrade Kole Alex, and President of Akoko Southeast Youth Forum, Comrade Imoru Kamoru, who both pledged their support for President Tinubu and assured OYAT of their readiness to mobilize more youths ahead of the 2027 election.
Following the successful outing in Isua-Akoko, the OYAT campaign train proceeded to Oka-Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko South West Local Government Area, where another massive crowd gathered to receive the team.
The Oka-Akoko engagement witnessed the presence of notable political leaders, stakeholders and community influencers who openly expressed support for the continuity of President Tinubu’s administration beyond 2027.
Among dignitaries present at the event were the Executive Vice Chairman of Akoko South West Local Government, Hon. T. S. Salad, a former State Auditor, Hon. Adebayo Cyril. Others include Elder Dare Moses, Mrs Bimpe Aboyewa, Chief Hon. Sunday Olawale Owolo, Pastor Olawole Emmanuel, Hon. Tope Ogedengbe, among others.
Addressing the gathering, leaders at the event commended OYAT for its consistency, strategic mobilization and commitment to youth participation in politics. They emphasized that President Tinubu has demonstrated purposeful leadership despite prevailing national challenges and deserves the support of Nigerians to consolidate ongoing reforms.
The leaders also praised the Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his outstanding performance in office and his continued contributions toward youth development and grassroots political inclusion in Ondo State.
In his remarks, Apalowo reiterated that OYAT remains committed to ensuring that the message of continuity, development and youth empowerment reaches every ward and local government in Ondo State.
He maintained that the organization’s statewide tour is not merely political but also designed to help young people escape economic woes.
“Our mission is clear. We will give jobs and training and empowerments to our youth. It is why we are moving around the state. We are also taking the message of Renewed Hope to every corner of Ondo State. We believe strongly that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves another term to fully consolidate the reforms and developmental projects already underway across the country,” he said.
The OYAT DG added that the overwhelming reception received in both Isua-Akoko and Oka-Akoko further confirms that the people of Akoko South are ready to stand firmly with President Tinubu in 2027.
The group thereafter concluded the engagements with renewed assurance from stakeholders, youths and political leaders that Akoko South would remain a strong support base for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress in future elections.
