The Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu (OYAT) has intensified its statewide youth engagement efforts, extending its mobilization tour to Ondo East and Ondo West Local Government Areas, with a strong message of hope and renewed commitment to the development agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during the engagements, the Director General of OYAT, Thalis Olonite Apalowo MLS, emphasized that President Tinubu has demonstrated a clear and deliberate interest in the growth and development of Ondo State, particularly through youth-focused policies and strategic appointments.
According to Apalowo, President Tinubu made history by appointing three young ministers from Ondo State, a move he described as unprecedented and a strong signal of the administration’s commitment to youth inclusion in governance. He further highlighted ongoing infrastructural development, including the concrete dualization of the Ore-Akure road, as evidence of the President’s dedication to improving the state’s economic viability and connectivity.
Apalowo also noted the impact of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which he said is helping to keep young students in school by covering their tuition and providing monthly stipends, thereby easing the financial burden on families and empowering young people to focus on their education.
He added that the support of the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), who is the backer of OYAT, reflects the deep trust reposed in him by President Tinubu. This partnership, Apalowo said, is central to OYAT’s mission of driving youth empowerment across Ondo State.
“Through the leadership of President Tinubu and the commitment of Hon. Tunji-Ojo, OYAT is positioned to deliver meaningful opportunities to our young people; ranging from job creation and employment to skills training and large-scale empowerment programmes,” he stated.
In Ondo West, the OYAT Local Government coordinator, Comrade Olumide Olaniyi, formally received the delegation and introduced ward coordinators from across the area. He assured President Tinubu of overwhelming support from the youth population, noting that beneficiaries of government empowerment initiatives are fully aware of the administration’s efforts and remain committed to supporting its continuity.
“Our youths have seen the impact of this government. They cannot stand by and allow progress to be reversed. Ondo West is fully mobilized and ready to deliver for President Tinubu,” Olaniyi declared.
Similarly, in Bolorunduro, Ondo East Local Government Area, residents came out in large numbers to welcome the OYAT team and express their support for the President’s re-election bid. Addressing the gathering, Hon. Opeoluwa Akinsete, the local government coordinator of OYAT, reflected on President Tinubu’s long political journey, marked by perseverance and resilience.
He urged the people to remain patient and steadfast, assuring them that more dividends of democracy are on the way.
“President Tinubu’s rise to power was built on years of sacrifice and dedication. That same commitment is now being translated into governance. We must continue to support him as more benefits will reach our communities,” Akinsete said.
The OYAT statewide tour continues to serve as a platform for engaging young people at the grassroots, reinforcing confidence in the Tinubu administration and mobilizing support ahead of future electoral engagements.
